If your shoes smelled like puke and you couldn't get the smell out, what would you do?
Besides buying new ones!!! ( ̄O ̄)
Oh, hey, hey, guys! I wanna know. Have you been winning lots of points?? You've all better be working hard too! ♪

Yeah, yeah! I'm not letting ANYONE puke on my shoes ever again!!
Experience, huh? You're probably right. I don't know if you're gonna remember anything as much if you don't live through it.
no subject
also this is quickly becoming his strangest conversation in Overjoy to date.] With determination like that, I'm sure your shoes won't be in danger any time soon.
But yes, that's my personal belief, too. Being knowledgeable through any means is a good idea, but it's experience that stays with you for your entire life.
no subject
he might have to get used to it] Yeah, that stupid prince is gonna have to puke SOMEWHERE ELSE!
It'd probably be pretty naïve to think you could be ready for anything just because you read about it too. Don't you agree?
no subject
Oh? There's a prince among us? It isn't very prince-like at all to be sick on someone else's shoes, is it? [but it's hilarious and boy is he laughing]
Certainly. It's an opinion that too few people hold, but in the "information age", that's a trend that probably won't die.
no subject
He SAYS he's THE prince, but he won't say from where! Even if he really is one, he's more like THE stupid prince anyway!!
Eh, that's no good. What if the internet isn't always around for them??
[Like where he's from!!]
no subject
I haven't met anyone like that yet, but I guess we're bound to get all kinds of weirdos in a place like this. [that seems to be a sad theme in his life...]
Hmm? They would have to adapt to using dictionaries and reference books again, probably. Where I come from, most people have internet even on their phones, so that isn't really a scenario that might become true.
no subject
Boo, but he's probably more ANNOYING than the rest of them!! He even wears this tacky tiara!!
Where I'm from, we haven't even been able to use cell phones in a LONG time. But when I was a kid, we still had them! If that happened to you guys, most people probably wouldn't know what to do, eh?
no subject
I would guess it'd be something like mass panic if that happened. People are so reliant on their computers and cell phones that society would cease to function if they were suddenly lost. Can I ask what happened to them where you're from?
no subject
That's just sad! I've never gotten to use one before and I don't mind!
The Third Division messed up a lot of things in Japan. That's why cell phones don't work there anymore. [Wait, if he doesn't even know about it, he wouldn't recognize the name, would he? What was that other name some people called it...] World War 3.
[can you get more stereotypically post-apocalyptic]
no subject
but his attention is quickly absorbed by that whole WWIII thing instead. geez Rin, that is much worse than potential solar flares... "much worse" and "much more interesting" are interchangeable terms here, of course.]
Wow, another world war? What year did that occur for you? I'm from Japan too, but we haven't seen anything like a third division, etc.
no subject
I was just a kid when it happened. I guess it ended around... [Insert year between the mid to late 20xx's here, because canon is mean.] I don't even really remember it well!
Maybe it just won't happen for you guys~
no subject
But that sounds like a terrible time. I'm surprised there's still a functioning society at all. Where I come from, people usually believe that a WWIII would end the human race. [he's a little curious as to whether or not there's some huge population deficit in Rin's time...]
no subject
EH, REALLY? Why?! Things are real messed up, but we're all still here.
no subject
Weapons would be the reason for that, though. With the kind of nuclear capabilities the world currently possesses, entire countries could be wiped off of the map in seconds if another world war broke out.
no subject
OH! That sounds really bad!! I don't know. The weapons did make it so we can't live in some places anymore. But I guess we just didn't lose that many people! Maybe it's cause the war kind of ended before everyone expected.
no subject
If you take "a few uninhabitable areas" and stretch it out across entire continents, that's what most people picture when a third world war is brought up. But what brought the war to a close so soon? Or were people just assuming it would last a long time?
no subject
I guess we're pretty lucky we're not all dead then, huh? I guess they just thought it'd last longer. Japan was still working on getting even more soldiers, you know! And then it all just...
...Ended.
no subject
That is pretty lucky, though. If there is a world war 3 ahead of us, most people would be pleased to know the planet is still standing afterward.
no subject
I told you, it's real messed up, but the PLANET did survive! It just sounds kind of weird to worry about that after the war.
no subject
I guess it's a privilege only those who haven't been through the war itself have... Worrying about consequences that may or may not come to pass is a general hobby of humanity, I think.
no subject
It's kind of weird, don't you think? You can't just get all shaken up every time you think something bad might happen.
no subject
I don't see much point in it personally, but it would be difficult to convince most people of that.
no subject
I guess it's like you said before. They just need the EXPERIENCE!
no subject
More or less! But I don't think anyone would trade worry in for an actual disaster.
no subject
Yeah. It's better if they don't have to live through anything bad~ ♪
