I've been thinking about some things, and it's come to my attention that we are - more or less - here to make everyone else unhappy. That sort of thing is usually frowned upon, isn't it? There are some new people that have arrived as well. So I'd like to ask you all, new or old:

Why are you here?

Why is everyone so willing to cause others misery for their own personal gain? What would make doing this sort of thing reasonable? Aren't we all just being selfish?

I'm sorry if this is intruding. This is probably a little bit hypocritical, but I'm asking out of personal interest. Please don't feel obliged to answer.

Should he or shouldn't he exploit what control he's been presented with? He's been through this situation before. He knows how to deal with Aoba.

[ ...Aoba's at his own little loss of words, thinking of how to approach this. Aoba thought he had underestimated Mikado, for the real extent of what he can do that Aoba seemed to miss... Now Aoba seriously underestimated this sort of response at this time.

Did Mikado really have a change of heart? Was this Mikado's own reason why he retreated here? Funny, Aoba thought, but this time he wasn't laughing. ]

[ It takes a while for Mikado to let everything settle before making sense of everything. There are at least fifty different alarms blaring at the back of his mind-- his gut is telling him to worm his way out of this situation while he still can. The longer he talks to Aoba, the more trouble he's bound to get himself into. He knows this-- so why does Mikado continue to bother himself with this? ]
