01 ★ VOICE

[And here goes any semblance of having a peaceful Sunday afternoon as the so-far meek and quiet Tomoko Oashi suddenly becomes not so meek and quiet.]

WHAT KIND OF PERSON DYES UNDERWEAR ORANGE?! YOU CAN'T JUST GO AROUND TAKING OTHER PEOPLE'S UNDERWEAR! I-IT'S WRONG! WHOEVER DID THIS...

WHOEVER DID THIS IS A PERVERT!

[Sounds like someone got to her laundry.]

[oh yay it's one of his favorite games!! create general mistrust and animosity between strangers!]

They're strangers, aren't they? Even if they are your room mates, do you think they would pass up access to easy points if given the chance? It's a shame, truly, but you should think about it.

[an ace group of roommates....

there's a sympathetic-sounding hum from his end, and not an ounce of mockery or blame in his tone when he speaks.]

Everyone makes mistakes and no one goes through their entire life perfectly judging everyone, so you aren't at fault here. It's just a good thing to remember in case the city does get more dangerous.

[because they all have laughably hilarious bad luck, gosh. he's taking things in stride though. laughter is the best medicine, right??]

There's that saying... "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst". It's smart to keep things from taking you by surprise just because you've wanted to turn a blind eye to it. After all, dyed clothing is aggravating and a breach of privacy is no laughing matter, but it isn't deadly.

[yes nausea is beyond the help of laughter.....]

It's only depressing if you allow that train of thought to consume you. It is possible to prepare for something without letting it bother you, you know. Think of it like bringing an umbrella to a picnic because the forecast said there might be rain. You have the umbrella with you, so there's no need to obsess over the reason you have it, right? Just having it is good enough. [just replace 'umbrella' with something like 'knife' or some other self-defense weapon! what a great analogy.]

[tomoko why]

That was just a comparative example. Simply put, if you have a reason to suspect something bad might happen and prepare for it in advance, you won't have to worry about it as much.

I think so! There's no harm in trying at least, right? [nothing to lose and only gunbrellas to gain!!]

Anyway, good luck getting the orange out of your clothing. Ah-- and as a tip, if you add too much bleach to try getting the color out, you could compromise the quality of fabric. Try a regular amount on one wash cycle with spot remover. If you can't get it out with that, I'm afraid you'll have to buy new clothing.

[aw yeah such a good samaritan]

You're welcome. Be careful in the future! [just, you know...

a friendly warning

always nice to end on a parting note like that right]
