Um, it was in my room with the rest of my laundry. I was going to go wash it myself b-but...

[She got beat to the punch. The horror.]

So he sneaked into your room?! Oh, oh, did one of your roommates let him in?

[Time for everyone to keep their clothes under lock and key!!]

[A pause. When he speaks again, his voice is even more animated than before.]

Eh, do you think one of your roommates could be the creep?!

[And now she's going to be paranoid.]

[Whoops, not exactly as planned.]

Oh, oh, you've gotta look for them now! If one of them did it, don't let 'em get away with it!

[She stops talking for a moment, looking around the dorm room.]

Um. Actually... I... don't think I've seen them in awhile, now that I think about it.

[Confrontation, fight, go--! ...Oh.]

You haven't seen them? Eh? [There's silence for a moment or two, clearly taking the time to come to just the wrong conclusions.]

D'you think they're hiding from you 'cause they really did do it?!

[Hiding, from her? She has to think about it for a moment. It is suspicious, but...]

That'd be dumb. I'm not scary... I don't see any of their stuff, either. Like, all of it! Not that there was a whole lot, but that's still kind of weird, isn't it?

[HUH... Well, that's a little extreme if they are hiding from her, isn't it? Still...]

You're not scary, huh? But it's not real nice to dye someone's underwear orange, y'know. What if they were so scared of you finding out they just had to leave?!

[A pause and... he laughs.] Just kidding! D'you think they gave up on winning the game already?

[MAYBE SHE IS THAT SCARY AFTER ALL-- oh, nope.]

That could be it! They must have given up. Which means that's two less people to worry about, right?

[IT WAS A VALIANT EFFORT.]

Hey, hey, is that how you're gonna win the game? You'll scare everyone else off till you're the only one left?!

[And... another laugh!] It's gonna be a lot easier for us if they did leave, yeah?

[She gives her own nervous little laugh.]

Aha... maybe... and, um yeah! It should be! There aren't a lot of us in the first place.

It's a real smart plan, you know! But I dunno if you're gonna get everyone out like that.

Ah! There aren't a lot of us, but we're still gonna have to compete against each other, yeah?

Th-that... yeah, I know that... We'll have to.

[Oh crap, that makes all of these people her enemies, doesn't it?! And she's chatting with them like it's a casual thing!]

[Oh, whoops.]

Eh? But you were already expecting that! Right, right? You and me could even end up competing against each other.

I was?! Ah, y-yeah, of course I was! [NOPE.] We might end up doing that. I... I can't promise not to be scary.

[There's a nervous laugh after that, like she's trying to be less scared of the idea. Trying!]

[There's a laugh from his end as well, not at all nervous.]

You've gotta be scary even if you compete against me! You already scared off some of your competition, right, right?

So you've gotta give it your all now!
